Wine Review

Bishop Creek Pinot Noir 2016, Oregon

Ruby colour, with wonderful aromas of red and blue fruits and spice. Ample and mineral on the palate revealing jammy black cherry and blueberry flavours, towards a long finish. Delicious with game terrine, stuffed quail Lucullan (Foie Gras), Cheese (Neufchâtel, Brie de Meaux, Stilton)

St-Estèphe 2010

A superbly balanced red wine from Saint-Estèphe, Château Lafon-Rochet 2010 reveals friendly, fresh and intense aromas. Fine and lively, with a magnificent balance between alcohol, acidity and well wrapped tannins. Very good cellaring potential. Perfect with Foie Gras, roast lamb and cheese (Caprice des Dieux, aged Gouda, Saint Albray)

Campogiovanni 2015, Brunello di Montalcino

Intense ruby red colour, aromas of ripe forest fruits evolving towards empyreumatique notes of tobacco and leather. Ample on the palate, silky and persistent with notes of fruits towards the finale. Great pairing with red meat, game, and refined cheese.

Reserva 2015, Ribera del Duero, Spain

Intensity, expressiveness, colour, structure and power, Pago de los Capellanes Reserva 2015, captures all the richness and diversity of the Ribera del Duero. Pair beautifully with fine charcuteries (Iberico ham, saucisson, salami, cured hams), beef steak pepper, Manchego cheese.

Vintage Port 2016, Portugal

Aged 18 months in barrels in the cellar of Quinta do Noval. Balance, finesse, elegance, Quinta do Noval port 2016 is one of the greatest vintage port of Quinta do Noval. Pair deliciously wit Foie Gras with caramelised apples, Teriyaki beef skewers, Cheese (Roquefort, Neufchatel, Gorgonzola) desserts (raspberry pavlova, chocolate desserts, pear and chocolate Charlotte).
