Cole Sprouse, 27, is a charming actor who has captivated the nations hearts since the age of 5 when he played the notable character of Ross Gellers’ child, Ben. From then on, Cole has acted in several film and television shows, including the Disney Channel programme, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody where he acted alongside his twin brother, Dylan. Their acting career started when their grandmother, Jonine Booth Wright, who was a drama teacher and actress, suggested that the Sprouses start the profession at the tender age of six months – when the twosome appeared in diaper advert.
After the hit Disney show, The Suite Life on Deck, Cole decided to take a break from the acting world to concentrate on his education. He studied archaeology, geographic information systems and satellite imaging at New York University and decided to pull a prank by switching place with his brother to get his diploma. Whilst he loves being in front of the camera, Cole also enjoys being behind it. Sprouse is a gifted photographer and has used this as a platform to try and show a positive outlook when he was experiencing depression. He's photographed magazine covers and fashion shoots, with his work appearing in publications like The Sunday Times and Vogue. The subjects he's photographed include model Kendall Jenner, Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner and singer Sam Smith.
Now an international heartthrob, Cole re-entered the public sphere through the sardonic character of Jughead, traditionally seen with his trademark Beanie, in the fantastical teen soap drama which debuted in the winter of 2017. This role allowed him to reinvent himself as an actor in his 20s after taking years away from acting. Cole stated that it was due to social media for his constant presence in the public eye, "I anticipated we would go to college and then we would fade out, that was kind of what we wanted at the time, but social media hung onto my brother and me, and thankfully so did the fans, and I think it's one of the reasons that this re-emergence can come back with a little more strength, and I'm very thankful for that."
This year, Sprouse starred in his first ‘grown-up’ film called Five Feet Apart alongside Hayley Lu Richardson. The romantic drama tells the story of a man with cystic fibrosis who falls in love with a patient down the hall. A thrilling watch, we are excited to see what Cole Sprouse has in store for us next.
