Finn Wolfhard, 16 years-old and born in Vancouver, Canada, has been in the spotlight for quite some time now after achieving worldwide recognition through his role as Mike Wheeler in the Duffer Brother Netflix production series of Stranger Things. Wolfhard’s first appearance on the big screen was with small roles in the sci-fi series and Supernatural. His love for acting started when he saw his first film, the 2002 version of Spider-Man, Sam Raimi!

Wolfhard’s popularity grew even more after playing the distinguished character of Richie Tozier in the reboot of the original movie inspired by Stephen King’s Horror novel, IT. But it was almost not to be, as there was a clash in production timings with Stranger Things. Finn stated, “They are both amazing scripts that just happen to be set in the ’80s. I auditioned for It before Stranger Things and I got the part. But then It fell through and that allowed me to go off and do Stranger Things. Then that wrapped and It came back and was on again. So, it was kind of perfect timing for me. It was just an amazing coincidence that I got to do both.”

Finn is not only a talented actor, but also has a great passion for music. In 2017, he formed the band Calpurnia for which he is the lead singer and guitarist. The band released their first single, City Boy, in 2018 after signing with the record label, Royal Mountain Records. Finn has a modelling career in the making as Saint Laurent made the announcement via Instagram that he will be the personification of the house’s Fall/Winter 2019-2020 campaign which will be photographed by David Sims.

So, what’s next for Wolfhard? Finn will be voicing Pugsley in the new animated Addams Family movie alongside Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron and Chloe Moretz who will be playing Wednesday. The film is set to be released in October which only shows that this has been a very busy year for him. As one of the most sought-after young actors in Hollywood¸ Finn will be starring in The Goldfinch and The Turning and will also be voicing a lead role in the Carmen Sandiego TV animation series.
