The Complantée cuvée from Agrapart is a remarkable champagne. It comes from the fruit of a plot of vines located in Avize, on which Pascal Agrapart planted 6 different grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Blanc, Arbane, Petit Meslier and Chardonnay. It is a champagne aged in barrels of oak, without filtration, and for which the malolactic fermentation was carried out in order to round off its aromas. This cuvée was bottled in May 2012 and has a luminous colour and fine bubbles. On the nose, it is a champagne that offers notes of white fruits (pear, apple, peach) and a touch of citrus, menthol nuances and a touch of spice. Les Crayères by Egly-Ouriet represents the best of the House savoir-faire. Made from Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes planted in 1946 on the terroir of Ambonnay, it is a cuvée of great finesse. This champagne is aged in oak casks and the malolactic fermentation is deliberately blocked in order to maintain a high tension. The Champagne has an old gold colour, and very fine bubbles. On the nose, it is a wine that opens with gourmet aromas of stewed fruit, yellow fruits, and a touch of spice. the mouth is superb, mingling at the same time freshness and roundness. La Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill, a prestigious vintage from Pol Roger, was created as a tribute to Sir Winston Churchill, with references to the qualities he appreciated in champagne: robustness, structure and maturity. The predominance of Pinot Noir unquestionably ensures structure, fullness and robustness, while the Chardonnay gives it elegance, finesse and impertinence. On the nose, buttery notes and brioche, almond and hazelnut scents mingle with subtle yellow fruit fragrances enhanced by the freshness of citrus fruits. On the palate, we find a perfect balance between acidity and roundness that recall the sweetness of cooked fruits melting with notes of almond, dried fruits and quince. The Ruppert Leroy House was founded in 1985. Today, Bénédicte and Emmanuel Leroy have been, since 2009, the second generation to produce this superb champagne.
