Swan Lake

It takes a great deal of bravura to touch a 30-year-old, much-adored classic, but that’s the Royal Ballet is doing with its new production of Swan Lake. Set to Tchaikovsky’s sweeping score, the ballet tells the tale of the romance between Prince Siegfried and the beautiful swan princess Odette – and the sorcerer who attempts to trick the prince into marrying Odette’s dark nemesis, Odile. Choreographer Liam Scarlett’s fresh vision recreates the ballet as a dazzling spectacle for dance aficionados and first-timers alike. From 17th May to 21st June at the Royal Opera House
