Ondine by Marie Guerlain

Descendant of the Guerlain perfume dynasty, artist Marie Guerlain turned to cookware for her latest project. Ondine is a luxury range of pans that combines a three-ply construction method with premium materials for fast, precise cooking. Design-wise, Guerlain looked to the shapes of French copper pans.

The movement to bring the outside inside shows no sign of slowing down, with living walls and jungle-print accessories all the rage. For a more literal interpretation of the trend, look to Finnish company Plantui, whose Smart Garden allows you to grow fresh greens indoors all year-round. The kit comes complete with automated irrigation and lighting, so the only decision left to make is which herbs, salad leaves or edible flowers to cultivate. Luckily for the indecisive, it offers space for six plants.

Bodegas Riojanas

Made from Tempranillo grapes and aged in American oak, Monte Real Rioja Reserva 2010 is full-bodied with smooth tannins.

High tea

Silver needle tea, or baihao yinzhen is grown in rare gardens in China, with only the top leaves plucked. NYC’s Silver Needle Tea Co heads to the high plateau of Fuding for its brew.

SHORT and sweet

Crumbly, rich and delicious; there’s nothing quite like the taste of traditional shortbread – and creating the perfect recipe is something to which the founders of Love Shortie have dedicated their lives. Lorna Burt and Janine Greener hand-bake their biscuits in small batches using the best Scottish butter, a pinch of salt and a selection of mouth-watering flavours.
