Line dance

With the eccentric and multitalented Marcel Wanders at its helm, Dutch company Moooi is committed to championing the world’s most exciting interior designers. Most recently, the house has teamed up with Arihiro Miyake; the Japanese designer’s debut for Moooi, the Coppélia suspended lamp, is a modern chandelier with 54 LED lights connected by crossed stainless-steel wires.

It’s personal

Heritage ceramics brand Wedgwood is now offering the chance to make treasured collections even more special. Customers can take advantage of an exclusive monogramming service, choosing from six patterns; the pieces can be personalised using a choice of three fonts and five colours (red, black, gold, blue and platinum) using applications ranging from a basic lithograph to a raised monogram.

HAUTE INTERIORS

From Jean Paul Gautier and Sonia Rykiel to Missoni Home, Roche Bobois has never been afraid to collaborate with daring design houses. This year, the French company has teamed up with fashion powerhouse Christian Lacroix and given the brand free rein to develop a capsule collection of 20 pieces. Chevron-striped dining chairs echo the silhouettes of mannequins, while cabinets and sideboards are engraved with pictures of Arles, a town close to the heart of Maison Lacroix.

Let there BE LIGHT

When whimsical designer meets classic brand, the result can be spectacular. Le Roi Soleil is a collaboration between designer Marcel Wanders and Baccarat in which the latter’s signature masterpiece, the Zénith chandelier, has been reimagined into a sphere of light; the rounded contours create a fresh, modern interpretation.
