Hotels

MONDRIAN, LONDON

The Mondrian is, in a word, hot. It has plenty of hip-hotel credentials, from an open ‘theatre-style’ kitchen, views of the Thames and deep purple interiors by Tom Dixon, to a Curzon cinema in the basement and morning yoga classes on the rooftop deck, open to guests and non-guests alike. The hotel has also partnered with Tate Modern to create bespoke cultural experiences and provide fast-track tickets to exhibitions, as well as very popular Jimson Blossom cocktail at its Dandelyan bar, inspired by the floral canvasses of Georgia O’Keeffe.

HACIENDA DE SAN RAPHAEL, SPAIN

Set amid the sunflower-studded plains of ANDALUCIA, this hacienda can be taken over in its entirety; otherwise, rent one of the pretty two-bedroom casitas that come with thatched chill-out area and private infinity pools.

KINROSS HOUSE, SCOTLAND

This stately home in the WEST HIGHLANDS, opposite Mary Queen of Scot’s final incarceration, has an incredible art collection, a reception room big enough to seat 400 and access to game hunting and deer stalking.

LACROIX SUITE, HOTEL JULES CESAR, FRANCE

The city of ARLES in Provence is famed for inspiring the paintings of Van Goth – and this suite in the Christian Lacroix – designed Hôtel Jules Cesar comes with a terrace overlooking the courtyard garden and access to a bicycle to explore the city.
