This 2010 Cailloux displays classic northern Rhône-like aromas with flavours of forest fruits, black pepper, spring flowers and hints of bacon fat. Gaining additional complexity and nuances with air, it is silky and polished on the palate. A full-bodied wine with an elegant texture and notable persistence and length. A wonderful complement for beef steak, filet mignon with thyme, veal with morels.
Grand Cru Saint Emilion is always a treat. However this wine is exceptional. With Notes of fresh fruit, gooseberry, raspberry and violet flowers, this wine is both very refined and crisp: it holds fresh fruit with a nice silky texture and great elegance. With a long and dynamic finish, it is a great vintage! A delight with quail stuffed with foie gras, lamprey a la Bordelaise, dark or red fruit or chocolate based deserts
A subtle touch of oak leads us on to the elegantly floral, ripe and wonderfully spicy nose of dark red berries and hints of tobacco. With a mouth full of natural sweetness, the tannins are soft to complete a persistent finish that lingers on the palate. Serve this wine with grilled meats or game.
A pale yellow lemon colour with a fresh and elegant nose and floral notes. In the mouth it is yeasty with a lovely texture and a very good length. Delicious now with salmon and mushroom sauce, crab ravioli dishes.
We love the power and finesse of this Gewurztraminer Hengst from Domaine Zind-Humbrecht and its beautiful golden colour. The nose explodes with toasted hazelnuts and aromas of yellow and white fruit. The mouth is voluptuous, deep and perfectly balanced. Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Hengst is a powerful and long white wine. Enjoy it with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, duck confit and fine cheeses.
The balance of fruit is reached with generous acidity. Very attractive aromas of spring flowers and white stone fruits and a subtle background of wood. Voluptuous texture, beautiful acidity and terrific length and personality. A great pairing with goat cheese, seafood and shellfish.
Pure expression of Rhone wines, this well balanced Montirius exudes earthy flavours. Slightly smoky and spicy, the pleasure is built around notes of liquorice, power and intensity. An excellent accompaniment for trout with almonds, stuffed courgettes, mature and hard cheeses
This is an exciting, fruit-driven red, with ripe stone fruits on the nose, Morello cherries and plums. On the mouth it has full-bodied flavours of black cherries and raspberries, and indulgent supple tannins, heightened with oak complexity. Delicious with pan fried prime rib or a white truffle risotto.
