Fashion and gourmandisesThe Berkeley Prêt-à-porTEA

Echoing 'Savage beauty' the hippest exhibition in London dedicated to the work of designer Alexander Mc Queen
the Berkeley offers a colourful tea-time: who would say no to these top trend delicacies?

In search of an original afternoon-tea in London? Head for the Berkeley, a five-star hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge. Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga, Oscar de la Renta… these top names in Haute-Couture have given life to unprecedented pastries, giving them homage.

For some months, pastry chef Mourad Kiat showcases the very British Alexander Mc Queen, and one finds on one’s adorable plate, a replica of the legendary shoe ‘Armadillo’ which caused a sensation at the Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show. On the menu, cream icing and a chocolate cookie.

Other representation, that of the famous butterfly hat that turns into a divine chocolate mousse delicately placed on a shortbread studded with red paste butterflies.
